Can some one please help me with Permutations and Combinatorics. The question is A farmer has 3 children and a herd of 27 cows. He gives 8 cows to his oldest child and 4 cows to his youngest child. Find the number of different ways the farmer can split up his herd.
27C8 x 19C4
how did you get that though im confused
the first child, picks 8 from the 27 then we have 19 left , then the second picks 4 from this 19 then the third child get whatevers left over ( ie they choose 15 out of the 15 remaining ) but 15C15 is one, so you just multiply by 1
Thanks but i still dont get it lol
whats not to get :|
its actually one of the easiest combinations questions you will come across
cause im dumb when it comes to math
he gave us a take home quiz with 5questions and i cant even solve one of them thats sad lol
