Take the equation of a line that passes through the origin, preferably with a positive slope to make the math easier. Take the general equation for the surface area of a function revolved around the x-axis, and integrate through from x=0 to x=b, or, the height of your cone, getting the surface area of the given cone. The value of the function at x=b is the radius of your cone. Hope this helped!
