Which dominant ancient empire was most ahead of its time compared to the rest of the world?

it is a history question, but I'm taking World History and it is apparent that Arabia was.

because of its intellectual acheivements, methods and success track of conquering lands, and trade/use of materials. For instance, they were the first to create libraries, and also they created a written common language for their people. From there they learned translation and thus saved all the Greek and Eastern Asian discoveries/culture etc. they had invented and used algebra among other things.

In terms of influencing world philosophy, I'd say Greece. But if you want to look interms of being "ahead of its time" not necessarily the legacy, I would say ancient India

The ancient empire that built spaceships and left the planet. I heard they were awesome. Way advanced. Too bad the only person who knows anything about them is Art Bell.
