Find the x-intercept for the equation: -2x + y = 12

-6

im guessing you rearrange it to give you x=

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You substitute y as 0 to find the x intercept because all points on the x axis have a y co ordinate of 0 as the equation of the x axis is y =0 so you get -2x = 12 which gives you x = -6 the co irrigates therefore are (-6,0)

Co ordinates. Sorry the auto correct made it irrigates
