Situation: An archaelogist in Turkey discovers a spear head that contains 27% of it's original amount of c-14. k = .0001 find the age of the spear head and round to the nearest year.

Exponential decay: \[f(t) = A*e^{-kt}\] f(t)/A = .23 Therefore: ln(.23) = -kt t = ln(.23)/(-.0001) = 14969.7597 years = 14970 years
