ok if i have coordinates of (3,0),(0,-2) and I want to fid the slope of a line then wouldnt it look like this: -2-0/0-3 =-2/3=2/3? and how would I find the x-intercept ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, you found the slope. The x-intercept is happens when the line crosses the x-axis, or when y = 0. You are given that point: (3,0). Therefore, your x-int is 3.
