write the equation of the line that has a slope of 2 and a y-intercept of -1 wouldnt that be y=mx+b?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

m = slope b = y-intercept y = 2x -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok when u have y=2x-1, would i proceed to solve and come up with y=3 for my answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you get 3? You can't solve more than this without knowing a value of either x or y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh so i should have just left it alone right? just y=2x-1
