Show us your work, then we can tell you where you stumbled :D

\[6/7z + 9/14=6 \] first i found the common denominator which was 14 and multiplied the denominator 7 * 2 and the numerator i then multiplied 6 * 14 and got 84 which left me with 12z+9= + or - 84

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

\[\frac{6}{7}z+\frac{9}{14} = 6\] subtract 9/14 on both sides \[\frac{6}{7}z = \frac{84}{14} - \frac{9}{14} = \frac{75}{14}\] multiply by 7/6 on both sides \[z = \frac{75}{14}*\frac{7}{6} = \frac{25}{4} = 6.25\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, or -6/7z -9/14 = 6 z = -7 3/4 = -7.75 We did it :D

Ohh, I see. thank you :)
