You can always use unicode: λ :-D

I suppose that might be the only option then...  It would be nice if I could do inline tex.  Is there a way to contact the developers of this site?

I just read in the math group, that you can use \ ( and \ ) instead of \ [ and \ ] to get inline math: $\sum_{n=1}^∞$ - wow, thats really cool.

Correct. \ ( does inline, \ [ or $$ does what's called `display' math.
