should they have killed ben laden

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no....he should be left on streets so people could beat his bum nd kill him in front of everyone

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think they handled the matter well... The only thing that I don't like is how much America was 'rejoicing'. Should we really rejoice our enemies deaths?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i was rather disturbed by the 'rejoicing' shown on tv; but that may have been just media hype...

OpenStudy (nowhereman):

A democratic country should not send hit-men. But this just shows again, that it is arguable whether the USA are a democratic country anymore. Also rejoicing over the death of someone always pictured as the devil seems pretty natural to me.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

Whether he was 'pictured' as the devil or not is besides the point. I feel life is to valuable to be 'rejoicing' over the death of any person; no matter how at odds I may be to them. Whether we shuold have done it? Maybe, maybe not... but to rejoice in the mans death just seems absurd to me.

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

Eh. I had a nice long reply, but engaging in political discussions usually devolves into catastrophic flamewars :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it is only natural that people are relieved that he is unable to mastermind anymore horrors, but the rejoicing leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. Even more, though, are those loonies who protest at people's funerals, they truly make me sick.
