ABCDE ~ FGHIJ w = ?, x = ?, y = ?, z = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did the problem but i am not sure is my answer is right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got w and z right but not sure about x and y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you know the ratio of a side of ABCDE to a side of FGHIJ is always 6/9 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so can u help me with x and y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so multiply each side of ABCDE by 3/2 to get the corresponding side of FGHIJ. For example x=3*3/2=9/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=5*3/2=15/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does it make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for y i got 7.5 and x is 4.5 is that right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep those are the decimal forms of the answers i posted. 15/2=7.5, and 9/2=4.5. You're right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank and i am about to post another question right now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok is this all for a geometry class?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes
