cgard00: a fence has post 25 feet apart, how many posts will it take to support a fence 200 feet long? updated 3 hours ago •No replies yet.

OpenStudy (watchmath):

4*50 = 200 then we want 25*50 = 1250 feet :D

Sorry forget it ...

draw a picture is best for that one post = I fence ===== is 25 ft count the posts I=====I=====I=====I=====I=====I=====I=====I=====I

when i draw the chart it looks like this 1post =25ft 2 =50 3=75 4=100 5=125 6=150 7=175 8=200 so we add one for the extra post on the end of the 8th?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or at the start...which in this case makes more sense I think: 1 post at 0; 2nd post at 25...just that when you start building a fence you start with a post.

ah! got it your awesome

is there a possible formula for this ?
