ive been wondering what happened to the 'time' response on the postings; 2 things: 1) they seem to be left aligned so that they act as an ending to the sentence in a post rather than right aligned to act as a time stamp. B) They really are faster than sec lol
Some things are changing about that design soon. What do you mean by being faster than sec?
i can reply to a posting and within a minute it says that the response is 5 minutes (not to scale) ago....
see; after 1 sec it jumped to 49 secago lol
Hm. Interesting. Oh yes, that's normal. It only updates periodically.
But it shouldn't jump from one minute to 5 minutes in the space of a minute.
that may have been exagerrated... :)
I believe every 30-60 seconds we do a pass of all the times on the page and update them. So you should see a couple at the seconds level, but then it should progress through one, 2, 3, 4, etc minutes, until it hits an hour, and then it progresses through the hours. It's commonly referred to as `fuzzy' time :) One thing we can do for precision is make the tooltip for the timestamp indicate the full date/time.
yeah, date/time when posted seems more accurate ...
nothing grand in the scheme of things, just something i noticed . I tend to have to type a few extra spaces or enter to remove the stamp from my sentences
That's normal and by design. Don't fight it :p In the sense that things will look funky when if and when we change that design.
By the way, the time is now on its own line always, right next to that sexy Report Abuse link ;)
