How do you factor x^2+8b-9?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you gotta understand how the terms are put together; the last term is mutiplied by 2 numbers; lets call them bob and sally the middle term is the addition of bob and sally......

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the factors of 9 are; 1,3,9 bob can be 9 and sally can be -1 when bob and sally add together; 9-1 = 8 we are good
