Acceleration can be actually measured and compared? True or False!

true

thanks soo much!

We measure and compare accelerations all the time. Some advanced forms of PID control use a second derivative gain as well as a derivative gain. One must be able to measure or estimate the actual acceleration and subtract that from the target acceleration to get an acceleration error. The acceleration error is then multiplied by the second derivative ( acceleration ) gain and added to the other control output terms. A very common way of measuring acceleration is to use an accelerometer.
