I have no idea about this one...its too confusing: √3x+4 =√5x Can someone help me on this one??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

square root over whole thing?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

is it sqrt(3x) +4 ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if so solve \[3x+4=5x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the square root is over 3x+4 and then its over 5x

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

solve 3x+4=5x like satelite said combine like terms -2x = -4 x=2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks, that looks like the way that my teacher explains it so you're probably right...#Much Appreciated..
