In 1990, people in the United States spent about $285.7 billion on recreation. In 1995, they spent $402.5 billion. Write a linear equation in slope-intercept form to model the amount (in billions of dollars) spent on recreation since 1990. HELP!! PWETTY PLEASE!!! with cherries on tOP!!!
i dont understand how to do this question :'( !!!!!!!
this says, using the given data, transform it ino an equation to predict money spent. starting at points we have the following: y+mx+b, there fore we hav e to determine the value of b
m is the slope which you previously calculated, and y,x can be the last point used as explained before x,y => 1995, 402.5
so 402.5=23.36(1995) + b => 402.5 - 46603.2 = b = 46200.7 then equation will be:\[ y = 23.36x -46200.7\]
