write each ratio as a fraction in simplest fraction anna and julie each take a bicycle ride . anna rides 20 miles in 1/3 hours . julie rides 246 miles in 16 hours which rider has the slower unit rate ? by how much ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So i'm not sure what they mean by simplest fraction, but i used 20miles/(1/3h)=480mi/8h for Anna's rate and, and 246miles/16h=123mi/8h for Julie's rate (since that seemed more simplified than fractions over fractions, didn't involve decimals, and had the same denominator).

From there i saw that Julie's rate was slower and subtracted her rate, from Anna's rate: 480mi/8h - 123/8h = 357mi/8h so Julie ride 357mi/8h slower than Anna, (which is about 44.6miles/h when you divide).
