Is there a lecture on graphing? PS 1 question 1A is about graphing and I cannot find where it is covered in the course. Thanks.

There is a lecture on graphing later in the course, but it is probably more advanced than you need. MIT does not offer a precalculus course, which is where this material would be covered. In Problem 1A you are expected to compare the functions given to f(x) = x^2 and use transformations to graph them. Look for keywords like scaling, completing the square, and translation. The following mathlets might also be useful: http://math.mit.edu/daimp/GraphFeatures.html http://math.mit.edu/mathlets/mathlets/affine-coordinate-changes/
