-9 , -2, 7 or -2 and 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now this is where you have to isolate: \[(x+18)^{\frac{1}{2}}=x-2\] \[x+18=(x-2)^2=x^2-4x+4\] \[x^2-5x-14=0\] \[(x+2)(x-7)=0\] \[x=-2\] \[x=7\] but you have to check your answers!
