Here is my study pad... Listen to "2.9 dialogue - repeat after Wang" Listen online at http://soundcloud.com/paulgillett/2-9-dialogue-repeat-after-wang Or download http://soundcloud.com/paulgillett/2-9-dialogue-repeat-after-wang/download Repeat Professor Wang's lines. The audio track gives you just enough time to say the lines: O, Máo Dàwéi, wǒ shì Wáng lǎosh. Lǐ Ānnà, nǐ hǎo. Xiǎolín Yóuměi, nǐ hǎo. Hǎo, sān ge rén le. Hǎo, Kǒng Měi, nǐ hǎo! Sì ge rén le. Nǐ ne? Bái Jiéfēi, nǐ hǎo…. Nà hǎo, huānyíng nǐmen lái Běijīng Zhè shì Gāo shīfu. Nǐmen hěn lèi ba. È ma? Chīfàn le ma? Nà, nǐmen de xíngli ne? Nà hǎo, wǒmen zǒu ba. Shàng chē ba. Jīntiān yǒu diǎnr rè, nǐmen rè ma? Xíngli, hùzhào, sǎn dōu yǒu ma? Hǎo, nà wǒmen zǒu ba. Bù, lí zhèr bù yuǎn – hěn jìn. One you have the pronunciation, use this next audio clip and fill in Wang's missing dialogue. Picture the scene in your head or mime it out if you want. Listen online: http://soundcloud.com/paulgillett/2-9-dialogue-say-professor/s-nGUB1 Download .wav: http://soundcloud.com/paulgillett/2-9-dialogue-say-professor/s-nGUB1/download Remember the dialogue is in four parts... The first involves collecting all the people; the second, with welcoming them; the third, with finding out how they are; and the fourth, with getting to the minibus to drive to Beijing. From reading http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/foreign-languages-and-literatures/21f-101-chinese-i-regular-spring-2006/readings/unit_2_8_to_9.pdf ----- Notes: If someone one has audio conversion software please download this wav file and convert to an mp3. Please let me know if it was helpful. Depending on how helpful it is I could prepare similar studypads for the other dialogues as well as the other parts of this dialogue.

Paul -- the studypads are still available (though not for too much longer) on the old version of the site at http://retro.openstudy.com/ .
