all I know about it is that it is 3.14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

basically pi is the number we get if we divide the perimeter of a circle by its diameter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is a universal constant and its also an irrational numer. that is it cannot be written as a fraction a/b. The decimal 'goes on forever'.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:) thank you. Now I get it. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3.14 is an approximation of pi. if you have a scientific calculator and press the pi key and enter you'll problably get the value of pi to 8 or 9 decimal places

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, let me try that now. I have to go look in my abyss (my book bag) for my calculator.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol its like my bag then!

HAH! well at least now I know I am not alone.
