the perimeter of a triangle is 51 cm. the longest side is twice the length of the shortest side. the thrid side is longer than the shortest side. how long is each side.

the third side is 3cm longer then the shortest side
shortest is 12, so its 12cm, 24cm, and 15 cm
the equation you would use is 51=s + 2s + s +3 and s would be the shortest side (cm)
so would the equation be 51=4s+3
