What is the range of f(x) = \[2 - \log_{3}(3 + x) \]

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the domain would be x>-3; the range is still (-inf,inf) tho; all you did was flip it and raise it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you! I have been trying to figure out if there is a range change for half an hour now. Do you by chance know how I can get the y intercept?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yeah, set x = 0 :)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

log3(3) = 1 so; 2-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you! So just to sum it up, Domain = (-3, inf) Range = (-inf, inf) Asymptote = x=-3 y intercept = y=1 ???

OpenStudy (amistre64):

y int = (0,1) but yeah...thats pretty much it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks!
