There are a lot of applications of x-rays. I think the most popular use is to take pictures of the bones of the human body. Also, in astrophysics, pictures of stars, nebulae or other astronomical objects are sometimes taken in the x-ray spectrum. Analyzing these pictures we can derive the temperatures and other features of those objects. In the airport, luggages and bags are scanned with x-ray to search for not allowed things.
