Hi! I am learning to do some computer programming type stuff and I feel that I may need to brush up on my maths, I've been out of school for about 15 years and I've forgotten loads. Any ideas?

OpenStudy (owlfred):

Hoot! You just asked your first question! Hang tight while I find people to answer it for you. You can thank people who give you good answers by clicking the 'Good Answer' button on the right!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, you could self study like I did, or you could get a tutor. either way, I'll help any way I can if you need it :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks guys! Where is the online tutorial? I don't think I need really high level maths, but I've even forgotten some pretty basic stuff, although I remember basic algebra pretty well. Annie - thanks, but I'm not on Skype...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

On that tutorville, does it cost money, par chance?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you self-study, mknight94? Using a textbook? A website?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ummm, mainly a textbook, but anything I didn't understand, I just studied out of other books. Not to brag, but I am mathematically gifted, so it may have been easier for me to understand.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:) I was good at maths in high school, but I've never used maths since... I'll think I'll go down to an op shop and look for an old book too. See how it goes :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And, hey, if you can't find one, I'm very sure I could like mail one to you (I gots oodles of math books :D)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And they say I need a life........ :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol thank you very much, I'm sure I'll find one, I'll let you know if I can't! Life... haha.... I spent my entire Friday night writing a program that calculates prime numbers... made up for it on saturday though :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

............ My friday night consisted of doing Quantum mechanics, and my Saturday consisted of creating a perpetual motion device (hasn't failed me yet!)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh! and my Thursday was.... Creating a heat engine :P :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:) wow you are dedicated! That's more interesting than what 90% of people call a life anyway... lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Heh, you should see my girlfriend :) She thinks I"m absolutely insane :) I am inclinded to agree with her :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I muck around with programming while he plays Black Ops on PS3... he thinks he is lucky his g/f doesn't hassle him about playing games.
