I x+7 I <2 solve the inequality Please help me... i just am so confused if someone can walk me through the steps and the answer :)

yes first write \[-2<x+7<2\]

then subtract 7 to get x by itself: \[-9<x<-7\]

x+7<2 or x +7>-2

And this is the EXACT same problem you had before but with different numbers, so if you understood it you wouldn't even need to ask. Also Nancy's wrong.

oops no. it is not two intervals but 1. x is within 2 units of -7, so can be as far to the left as -9 or as far to the right as -7
