To skate at Roller Heaven, each person must pay a membership fee (m) and a fee for each session (f). Art attended 5 sessions and paid $25 in all. Later, when he had attended 10 sessions, he paid $40 in all. How much is the membership fee and how much are the sessions. Show how to solve this, using any method.

You ask to little.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this rollerskate heaven is a popular place, we should go on a date there..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lmfao Yea this is me: Yea and froggy will have the... lmao

OpenStudy (anonymous):

soooo 5f+m=25 10f+m=40 Try taking the next step, i'll help if you mess up.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay then you can either multiply the top equation by -2 or -1 right? Which one do u want me to do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhh that method, umm up to you. But the easiest way (for me) is to isolate the single variable, that being the m in any of the two equations, then subbing it into the other one. Then isolate for the f :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your way works too, but I find that it takes more work? Idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha it does :P But its the only way i dont get confused :P I always over think things :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okayy (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okie dokie i got that m = 10 is that right??
