how do you find the supplementary and complementary angle of a number

Complementary angle means that the sum of one angle and another equals 90 degrees. Supplementary angle means that the sum of one angle and another equals 180 degrees.

i know but like how do i find the stuff for like lets say 17˚

If it is part of a complementary angle you subtract 17 from 90 to find the measure of the other angle. If it is supplementary, you subtract 17 from 180 to find the measure of the other angle.
