disreguard my last post.. the problem is 18x^3+27x^2-24x-40/2x+3

hmm... first you have to brake down the top part into 3 parenthesis: (x+a)(x+b)(x+c) most likely one of these parenthesis will be equal to (2x+3) so at end you will be able to cancel them both and just be left with two.

ummm. isnt there a way like to do long division or is that something else.... but what do you mean by (x+a)(x+b)(x+c)?
