How do I find the apothem of a square with the radius being 8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are both the circle and square the same area? If so: First find the area of the circle by doing A = (3.14)8^2. Area is 200.96 square units for the circle. Now the area should be equal to that of the square so find the square root of 200.96 to find the length of one side of the square. You now have 14.1760361 which rounds to 14.18. This is the measure of one side of the square. The apothem of a square is equal to one half of the length side of the square. So the apothem of the square is 7.09 (14.18 / 2).
