The lengths of the corresponding sides of two similar trapezoids are in the ratio 3:5. If the area of the smaller trapezoid is 63sq inches, what is the area of the larger trapezoid?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

175 since the ratio of the sides is 3:5, you have to square that to get the ratio of the areas, so the ratio would be 9:25. Then just divide 63 by 9 and multiply by 25.
