the average of X,Y, and Z is 80. if two of the numbers are 74 and 78, then what is the other number?

to find the average you add all the numbers together and divide by the total of numbers so the equation you'd use for this is (74+78+X)/3=80 so to solve multiply by 3 then subtract 78 and 74 giving the answer of 88
