How do you find the perimeter of a triangle with a radius of 8?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

??

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you keeping secrets, this is only part of the information to a bigger problem...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, okay, it's a regular polygon and on the paper it says perimeter equals number of sides times side length. So I guess I'm asking how to find the side length given the radius.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

is this a triangle drawn inside of a circle? Or drawn on the outside of a circle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

drawn outside of a circle

OpenStudy (amistre64):

OpenStudy (amistre64):

..... might need to adjust my thoughts for the circle drawn inside; then the apothem is still the altitude, but we need to determine a side

OpenStudy (amistre64):

a side is simply twice the base of the right tri made from the radius and its tangelt to the circle...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

OpenStudy (amistre64):

Perimeter should be abt 83.14
