The area of a triangle is found using the formula A = 1/2 bh, where b is the base and h is the height of the triangle. Solve this formula for the height h. Then find the height of a triangular flag if the Area = 63mm2 and the base is 9 mm.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solv for H first like it says

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2a b = h

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plug in the nummbers 2 *(63) *( 9) = h

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 1134?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes 1134 mm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait i messed up it's 2 a/b = h

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the height is 14mm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if we have rectangular flag of 9 by 14 .. it would give us an area of 126, but a trangular would be half of that , 63
