A round birthday cake is cut into 16 equal pieces. if the cakes diameter is 4 inches what is the area of one piece of cake ? A. 38.48 in B. 19.2 in C. 5.5 in D. 14.36 in E. 9.62 in PLEASE HELP THANKS :)

the area of the whole cake is Pi*r^2=4Pi if we cut it into 16 equal pieces we have 4Pi/16=Pi/4 so something is not right because that is less than 1. is there a thickness to the cake and we need to find surface area?
