Technically the answer should be 946.40 But there are an infinite amount of possibilities between 946.35 and up to 946.40

Yes, rounding to 2 decimal places looks like this 1.1649 gives 1.17 so anything >= 5 is rounded up into the next decimal. In the example the 9 causes the 4 to round to 5 which causes the 6 to round to 7 Does that explain the process?
