(2c^4-2c^3+3c^2+13c-5)+(c^5+10c^3+13c+2)+(-5c^4+c^2-7c-9) This was also a question last night but after i went back and looked at trhe question it ask for me to simplify it

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you either have it entered wrong, or gave us a typoed question then

OpenStudy (amistre64):

screenshot of last nights answer too

So can the answer itself be simplified more, that is my question you guys gave me answer c^5-3c^4+8c^3+10c^2+3c-12 and if not do I need to put it in parenthesis (c^5-3c^4)+(8c^3+10c^2)+(3c-12)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

that doesnt simplify the equation; it just marks if up

OpenStudy (amistre64):

to simplify would be to reduce it to its basic form; and there aint nothing that will reduce this any further. It is as basic as it can get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok just checking

OpenStudy (amistre64):

for example: 1/2 doe snot simplify to (1/2). the (..) serve no purpose in this case

OpenStudy (amistre64):

lol... i tyoed 'doe snot' lol

OpenStudy (amistre64):

another example: 6x -3 does simplify to: 3(2x-1) in this case the (...) are useful
