\[x+2x ^{1/2}-3=0\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you notice that this can be factored: (x^1/2+3)(x^1/2-1)=0 than it is fairly simple from that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is not right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x+2\sqrt{x}-3=0\] \[x+2\sqrt{x}=3\] \[\sqrt{x}(2+\sqrt{x})=3\] x=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is a nice way of solving it too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tinka I think what I wrote is also right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

gives the same answer
