Multiply (x+2)(x-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^2-4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so that is the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there would be no middle term since there is a -2 and a +2 :) hope this helps..... yes this is the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you just multiply the 2's and the make the x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay do you know foil?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no not yet, if I do. I dont remember

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^2-4 = 0 X^2=4 X = +2 and -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay well when say you have (x+1)(x+1) FOIL (first, outter, inner, last) you multiply the x's and you get x^2 then you multiply the outter and last and add and you get 2x and then multiply the last and you get 1 sooo.... your answer for that one would be..... x^2+2x+1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so I need to put in x^2+2x+1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

collegegirl my answer is perfectly correct check that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Answer is +2 and -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no.... thats the answer for my problem but your is..... x^2+4 dont listen to koolkow because, you are not trying to find the solutions your just multiplying or FOILing it out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you still dont get it you should ask you teacher :)
