x^2-3x=-10, Use the quadratic formula to solve this equation.

set this equation equal to zero, in essence, move the ten to the other side. then use the quadratic formula. x=(-b+-sqrt(b^2-(4*a*c)))/(2a). This will give you both roots or solutions to the equation you have. a is the coefficient in front of the x^2, b is the one in front of the x and c is the constant that you moved to the other side. I hope this helps
