given the function f describe by f(x)=2x find each of the following a. f(-7) b. f(6) c. f(29)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just sub in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the first one, where you see an x, replace with a -7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a. = 2(-7) =-14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the others are exactly the same, just bigger numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it could even ask something like f(x) = 2x find f ( x+h ). This is exactly like the other questions, whereever you see an "x" in a function you should replace it with a (x+h) so in that case f(x+h) = 2(x+h)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm confuse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so elecenigeer b is 12 and c is 58 am I multiplying by 2 to get the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pretty much, its very simple

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but that could make them harder

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but is that the correct answer i'm asking
