I would like to have some suggestion on Twisted (Python) and Erlang, for an implementation of a load balancer. Since the load balancer will be required to handle a lot of connections, which of the above two will suffice?

Twisted is a classic one.Erlang being used in fb chat but i don't know about performance .In case of load balancing i can suggest gevent. . .You should look into this http://oddments.org/?p=494
