what is logarithm??

OpenStudy (angela210793):

How come u don't know this Einstein? ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

XD no ^^ but i want to learn ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am only 14 years old :(

OpenStudy (angela210793):

C'mon.....i was just kidding :):):):)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D :D

OpenStudy (angela210793):

\[\log_{a} b=c\]

OpenStudy (angela210793):

so a^c=b look wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logarithm

OpenStudy (angela210793):

R u writing a novel? O.o :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just give ame a numeric example plz? xd

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that it ried to do this on 2^2=4 but failed ...

OpenStudy (angela210793):

ok w8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

aha then log2,4=2??

OpenStudy (angela210793):

\[\log_{2} 2=1\]

OpenStudy (angela210793):

yes cause 2^2=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok then what can we use this for??

OpenStudy (angela210793):

hmmmmm....to confuse students with some more formulas i guess :P:P:P:P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then 4^4=16 so \[\log_{16\[\log_{4}16 \]} \]=4??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rofl i failed at typing equestion :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lgot4,16=4??

OpenStudy (angela210793):

nooo 4^2=16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahh then wait

OpenStudy (angela210793):

so log with base 4 of 16=2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

log2,16=??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

log2,16=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm :(

OpenStudy (angela210793):

\[\log_{4}16=2 \]

OpenStudy (angela210793):

listen \[\log_{a}b=c \]

OpenStudy (angela210793):

so a^c=b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so iw we do it 8 = 2^3 its log2,8=4!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

log2,8=3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not 4

OpenStudy (angela210793):

Korcan log2,8=3 cause 2^3=8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok just have to solve 10 questions and it will be better

OpenStudy (angela210793):

so a is the base and c is the exponent so b can be b=a^c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (angela210793):

did u read the article from wikipedia i sent u?

OpenStudy (angela210793):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logarithm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did i have time xd but i solved the question true ^^ just give me time to read it

OpenStudy (angela210793):

Lol :P:P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK read its all got it

OpenStudy (angela210793):

huh? u read it so fast?...C'mon Korcan don't b lazy...read it carefully :P:P:P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

100 ^2 = 10000 so log2,100=1000 YEA?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can read over 5 pages in 47 secs (i counted it :D )

OpenStudy (angela210793):

Nope....log100,10000=2

OpenStudy (angela210793):

i can bet u have seen the pics only :P:P:P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rofl wait i did wrong typing xd

OpenStudy (angela210793):

cause 100^2=10000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if u get confused it is sometimes easier to consider logs to the base 10 you know that 10^2 = 100 remember the 10 is the base , 2 is the log and 100 is the result so 'log to the base 10 of 100 is 2' : log_{10} 100 = 2 when considering other bases refer to the above two facts

OpenStudy (angela210793):

right....i told u to read tht carefully :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i solved it ture to my notebook xd ( i always do this when i am too exiting)

OpenStudy (angela210793):

hahahha lool

OpenStudy (angela210793):

Jimmy is right but the right formula is the 1 i told you..and u have included all in that 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok 6^2=36 so log6,36=2 solved true?

OpenStudy (angela210793):

Yuppiiiii!!!! Yes u did :):)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

FINALLY :D xd now what i have to learn ? :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

err angela can ou be on at fb right now?

OpenStudy (angela210793):

\[\log_{a}b+\log_{a} c=\log_{a} c*d\]

OpenStudy (angela210793):

No i can't Korcan..I'm sorry..I told you i'll log in again after tomorrow :):)

OpenStudy (angela210793):

\[\log_{a}b-\log_{a}c=\log_{a}b/c \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea remember but 2^1=2 and log2,2 = 1 then i think that u ll be on after 1 day xp xp :P

OpenStudy (angela210793):

\[\log_{a} b^n=n \log_{a} b\]

OpenStudy (angela210793):

lool..u found tht by using logarithm? :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

omg don2T go so crazy :P i osolved over 756 maths questions today and i am half brain-damaged :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:P :P anyway i counted it was one xp

OpenStudy (angela210793):

hahahha I'm same...but because I have been studying more than 13 authors.....:S :S

OpenStudy (anonymous):

log a b−log a c=log a b/c i got it ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oO

OpenStudy (angela210793):

lol...woow really 756????? r u crazy or smth?

OpenStudy (angela210793):

Yes u got it...gr8 job :):) smart guy :):P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i wne to course and we solved 300 at there (8-13:00 between) then i solved 456 at house but if i sum 2 log questions it is 754 :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rofl i did 756 + 2 = 754 lol really brain damaged :( :P

OpenStudy (angela210793):

:@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Am i talking with a math freak :P:P:Pjkjkjk ^_^

OpenStudy (angela210793):

Hahahhaha.....yea i can see tht :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

err YEs but the thing you write wrong is that we are writing not speaking :D :d : d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:P

OpenStudy (angela210793):

:P:P:P Oh shut up!!! :P:P:P:P:P my brain is 3/4 damaged because of Kafka,Camus,Shakespeare and 10 more writers :P:P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D you read Isaac Asmov?? He is my favorite :D i like sci-fi and fantastic finction Tracy Weis & Hickman really good too(i read over 300 pagesin a day :P )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

especially the foundation saga is roxx

OpenStudy (angela210793):

Mr Einstein...i'm studying these authors cause i have an exam after 1 day...not because i want to....and i have read Harry Potter 5th book in a day :P (more than 700 pages) :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oO rofl 4 pages in 1 min 210 pages in 1 hour so i would need 3,5 hour per one of the harry potter book :P and if we 3,5 x 5 then it will be like 17,5 or more result: i fall asleep in the half ot the 4th book xp.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oO u really red 5 harry potter books in one day? :P how!!

OpenStudy (angela210793):

hahahahhahaqhahhaha LOOL :D :D....how do u read them...just as u read wikipedia :P:P:P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if i would try this i wouldn'T remember the events after the 1,2th book xp

OpenStudy (angela210793):

noo siily.....i read only the 5th book...:P and i finished all 7 books in a week :P

OpenStudy (angela210793):

exactly tht's wht i meant..so u can't read 4 pages in a min and then understand the plot :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahh k :P so i counted these all for nothing :(

OpenStudy (angela210793):

hahahhahahhaha LOL :D u wanted to do tht...i never asked did i? :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea but.. butt...

OpenStudy (angela210793):

but...wht?O.o :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

err... nuthin xd

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u are right :D

OpenStudy (angela210793):

haha ur funny :) :D :D :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D
