15/total
yea it will be 15/28 but how do i convert that into a decimal
devied?
15(Divided by) 28 Thats basically what a fraction line is/means. so you answer SHOULD be: 0.53571429...
.536 icream read the question (round =P)
ice*
Then it should be 0.536 Correct?
yea
what number is the thousandth place
The 3rd # AFTER the decimal. Ex: 0.#-Tenth's 0.0#-Hundreth's 0.00#-Thousandth's Etc...
so in this case is the 5 right?
In the UNROUDED answer, it is the 2nd 5. When you round to the THOUSANDTH'S place, you look at the number to the RIGHT of the thousandth's, and if the number is 5,6,7,8, or 9, you round up. In this case, since we are rounding 3 numbers after the decimal, we look at the 4th number. Since it is 0.5357 (And 7 is greater than 5) we round that 3rd number after the decimal UP. Giving you your answer of 0.536. Got it?
yep thank you very much :)
No problem! If you have any more questions, I'll try to help.
um yea i have another one
based on a sample survey a company claims that a 90% of thei customers are satisfied with their products.out of 1100 customers how many would you predict to be satisfied?
Ok, so here's what you gotta do: We're going to MULTIPLY the total amount of people by the PERCENTAGE of customers that are said to be satisfied. Really not that hard if you know what to do. So here it is: 1,100 X 0.90 (Because the PERCENT is 90%, we move the decimal to the LEFT 2 places.) And your answer is: 990
oh when u put it that way is wayyyy easier thank you very much for your help
No problem! :)
thanks for everything
