This is NOT biased. If it were biased, the t.v. station would call people that either already knew about the show, or people who liked the show, etc... biased basically means they are cheating the system by either narrowing choices, or by asking certain people, ensuring they get the good reputation they are trying to obtain, but in a false or not completely truthful way.

Since it is random, it cannot be biased.

Here is the definition of "bias" according to dictionary.com: a systematic as opposed to a random distortion of a statistic as a result of sampling procedure.
