Nth term of what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

geometric sequence

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

You mean like... suppose we are given the geometric sequence \(2(1/2)^n\) and I want you to find the 10th term?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[a=6, n=5, r=3\]

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

Oh, in that case just use the definition of the geometric sequence. :) Pop those numbers in, and you're done. (remember to take exponents first!)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks a lot i really appreciate it.
