The revolution started with the uprising in the meerut native infantory and supported by many rebealians in country like tantya tope in kanpur, rani laxmibai in jahansi and many more. Bakhiyar khan was the leader in delhi who lead the forces against british on the cause of not using the greesed cartages for enfield rifels. Mangal pandey rise as hero. The whole event mark the begainging of the war of independence for india.

the revolution of india in 1857..is said to the great raising of 1857..but,this war was not succesfull due to reasons like:-1.inefficent generals..even thoe rani laxmibai,nana shaib were great worriors they were not great leaders.2.misunderstandings among the troops.3.lack of co-ordination among the troop.4.lack of planing.5.backwardness in navy.6.lack of modern weapons ect were the few reasons of the downfall of 1857 war...
