wire is doubled so area is increased by 4 times.
now resistance varies inversely with area so now resistance is 4/4=1

resistance proportional to (length/area). in this case length halves and area cross section doubles. so new resistance is 1/4 times original resistance..therefore ans is 1 ohm..
