I'd start by pulling all the common q's out of the first two terms and all the common r's out of the second two.. \[24q^7 – 42q^4r + 36q^3r^2 – 63r^3\]\[= 2q^4(12q^3 - 21r) + 3r^2(12q^3 - 21r)\]
